By incorporating techniques used by both professional and skilled golfers, this course provides a systematic approach to elevating your game.

The first baseline test we are going to conduct is designed to help golfers assess their current distance control by hitting five random distances without the immediate feedback of a launch monitor / measuring device. 

For our Baseline No. 2 test (ideally we need a rangefinder) we are going to find out how good our perception of distance is by choosing five random targets at different distances and seeing how close we can get to guessing how far away they are from us.

The Ultimate Wedge System is based on being able to hit four different positions in the backswing which will help us determine the length of the shot we are hitting.

To increase the variety of shots available to you around any one swing position, as discussed, we can practice and play from each swing position at three different swing speeds. As you can see from my opening set of shots in this video from swing position one, I start to hit distances around 15, 20 and 30+ yards. Using the three different swing speeds will allow you to start building out a wide range of target distances you are comfortable to hit to with a “pre-made” swing, taking the guesswork out entirely!

In addition to the four basic swing positions we have covered so far, as well as the variations including swing speed and ball position, let’s start thinking about how the different wedges in our sets can also help us cover a great variety of target distances due to their different lofts.
